Commissioning capabilities include setting the network address, baud rate, auto or manual I/O sizes, brightnetss, fault/idle states and factory defaults.  Visual diagnostics include shorted sensor/cable detection, shorted and open load detection, missing module detection, low & missing power detection, distribution errors and log of network errors.

Did we mention its Modularity?  For discrete I/O, all of the G3 electronic modules plug together, by mechanical clips allowing for easy assembly and field changes.  The same modules can be used in either distributed or centralized applications.  It also interfaces with the Numatics gen 2000 Series, ISO 5599/2 and ISO 15407-2 Series valve lines....all meaning additional flexibility of the entire system.
