World's Smallest Class 6-Contact Guard Lock Safety-Door Switch

Have you heard about this yet?  Check out Omron STI's new D4SL - the world's smallest class 6-contact guard lock safety-door switch.  It combines simple and flexible installation with robust operation to satisfy the varying safety needs of today's door access applications.

The D4SL features a durable metal-head to deliver long life in demanding industrial environments. Users will also benefit from easily selectable wiring, a wide variety of mounting methods and available operating keys, and a generous key slot that accommodates the misalignment and instability of real-life door applications. The result is a robust, simple-to-install switch that satisfies the safety needs of today’s door access applications.

  • Two types are available: a connector type that reduces wiring time
    and a detachable terminal block type
  • Robust and durable metal head
  • Key holding force of 1,300 N
  • The wider key slot is less susceptible to movement from doors and can handle doors with a small radius
  • By rotating the mounting part, it is possible, both to change the key insertion point and to enable mounting on various devices
  • Easy view LED indicators can be checked from any direction
  • By utilizing the 6-contact type, both the door open/closed status and the solenoid ON/OFF status can be monitored independently
  • A cost-effective 5-contact model is also available


The D4SL Guard Lock Safety Door Switch is available with an optional Slide Bolt with key to prevent workers from becoming trapped inside a hazardous area, without having to use a padlock.
