FLO-CORP Now Part of the Cross Company Lineup - Level & Flow Products

from the Instrumentation Group (Mid Atlantic) at Cross

The Instrumentation Group (Mid Atlantic) at Cross is pleased to announce a partnership with FLO-CORP - a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced flow, level and display instrumentation.  FLO-CORP specializes in providing complete, customized measurement solutions solving demanding and difficult applications.

Coriolis Mass Flow Meters

Two parallel flow tubes inside the MassFlo meter are rotated at their resonant frequency by coils and any mass flowing through the tubes will generate Coriolis forces.  These forces have opposed effects on the inlet and outlet side and slightly deform the tubes.  Sensors inside the flow meter measure the deformation of the tubes.  The phase shift between the rotational frequencies of both tubes is proportional to the mass flow rate.

The resonant freqeuncy of the tubes changes in accordance with the density of the medium, which is used to determine density.  The extent of deformation of the pipes depends on temperature so the temp is measured for compensation purposes.  Then using one sensor primary values as mass flow, density and temperature can be measured.  Conversions allow for calculation of additional values such as volumetric and concentration.

Features include:
  • NEMA 4X and Explosion Proof - Class 1, Groups A, B, C, D
  • dual analog outputs
  • accuracy of +/- 0.5% of reading
  • pulse output
  • RS 485 interface
  • 24 VDC power
  • dual flow tube design
  • easy to read LCD display
Typical applications include oil, methanol and catalyst streams industrial paints, various gases, slurries, beverages and any fluid measurement requiring high accuracy and density with temperature measurement.

AccuTank™  Radar Level Monitoring System

The AccuTank™ Radar Level Monitoring System from FLO-CORP is a precise, innovative and reliable remote monitoring system.  This system features revolutionary Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology, which is a low energy, high frequency electromagnetic impulses, generated by the sensor's circuitry, which are propagated along the probe which is immerged in the liquid to be measured.

When these impulses hit the surface of the liquid, part of the impulse energy is reflected back up the probe to the circuitry and it then calculates the fluid level from the time difference between the impulses sent and the impulses reflected, resulting in a very accurate read.

Features & Benefits include:
  • email alerts / alarm summary
  • easy installation
  • remote monitoring + real time info
  • data logging
  • time domain reflectometry technology
  • auto discovery for quick device detection
  • Ethernet communication
  • monitor unlimited devices
  • Modbus®
  • 6 digit LED display
  • NEMA 4X field mount or NEMA 7 explosion proof enclosure
Typical applications include stilling wells, bypass chambers, small - medium - large tank applications, processing & storage, difficult tank geometries, plus expceptional performance in liquids with low dielectric constant.
