Introducing Drager's new X-Zone 5000 - talk about state-of-the-art area monitoring, this new mobile unit is loud and tough, measuring up to 6 gases. Plugging the Drager X-AM 5000 into the X-Zone 5000 portable unit, delivers an excellent solution for gas detection.
- easily maintained mobile area monitor
- simple, rapidly deployed unit for routine maintenance and emergency situations
- alarm amplifier for the X-AM 5000/5600 series of personal monitors
- deployable in any classified hazardous location up through Zone 0
- wireless fence line network

Up to 25 Draeger X-zone 5000's can communicate in a group to form a wireless fence line. This automatic interconnection of transportable measuring units enables rapid deployment and improved safety in hazardous areas such as pipelines or tank maintenance during industrial shutdowns. When one unit goes into alarm (mother alarm - red) the device transmits the alarm to all other units that are part of the fence line to generate daughter alarms (green/red) resulting in complete awareness.
Pumped Area Monitoring
An integrated pump (available as an option) provides continuous, remote monitoring of areas during operation. The system allows continuous monitoring of difficult to access areas or confined spaces at distances of up to 45 m. By replacing the pump cap with the diffusion cap, the X-zone 5000 with integral pump operates in the diffusion mode.

The X-zone 5000 is a simple, rugged reliable unit that can be set up in minutes. CSA/UL rated for use Zone 0 (exceeding Class 1, Division 1) for potential explosive hazards. It can be used in the field either individually as a single area monitor or as a network of units (with 2 - 25 units in a group). X-zones can interconnect wirelessly up to a distance of around 100 m. With the 915 MHz frequency used in USA & Canada, a good connection can be maintained even without "line of sight" (around a corner or with obstructions between the X-zones).
